About the Pastor

Stuart Pederson is the pastor of the Burrton Community Church. He was raised on a farm in rural central Nebraska. He graduated from the University of Nebraska Lincoln with a degree in accounting. Stuart worked as a CPA in Minneapolis, MN, and western Nebraska for eight years. In 1987, he entered seminary in Fresno, California, graduating in 1990. Stuart has pastored vocationally for 25 years in 6 churches in 3 states and is ordained by the Mennonite Brethren and Missionary Alliance Churches

Stuart is also a missionary with Mission Experience of Centennial, CO, to build and run an orphanage. He has led teams to Haiti since 2010, making 36-plus trips. He is focused on facility construction, solar installation, and vocational training. This is in addition to having fun with the children at the orphanage.

Stuart married his wife, Regina, in 1981 and celebrates 40 years of being together in 2021. They have four grown and married children. All walk and serve the Lord Jesus Christ as they raise 15 natural-born, adopted, and foster grandchildren. Life is full.
